PCYBOX Lab

Your idea. Our R&D. A concrete solution.

The Lab turns an idea or a complex problem into a prototype, MVP, platform or software tool, with an applied R&D approach. It also releases our open source tools.

Positioning

Explore, design, then build.

A project does not always start with a specification. Sometimes it starts with an idea, a recurring pain point or a technical hypothesis. The Lab clarifies the problem, explores options, validates hypotheses and builds the right tool.

The Lab is not

  • A web development agency
  • A contractor that only executes a specification
  • A pool of developers on demand

The Lab is

  • An applied R&D partner
  • A product design and development studio
  • A team that turns a problem into a usable solution

Engagement types

Different engagements, one standard: build something useful.

Explore an idea
Assess the technical feasibility of an idea and define the next steps.
Build a prototype
Make a concept visible and testable: proof of concept or working prototype.
Launch a product
Design and build an MVP or a complete software product.
Solve an internal problem
A tool designed around your operations, context and constraints.
Build a cyber tool
Design a cybersecurity or AppSec solution suited to your need.
Explore AI
Identify relevant AI use cases and build the components needed, with human validation.

Method

From your idea to a concrete solution, in six steps.

  1. Step 1

    First conversation

You present your idea, problem or need.

  2. Step 2

    Scoping

Goals, users, constraints and expected results.

  3. Step 3

    Exploration

Technical options and hypotheses to validate.

  4. Step 4

    Design

    Solution, architecture, scope and deliverables.

  5. Step 5

    Development

Building the prototype, MVP, platform or tool.

  6. Step 6

    Validation and delivery

Testing, documentation and preparing what comes next.

Application security is part of the method from scoping onward, as on all our projects.

AttackGraph

AttackGraph is a lab that runs in the browser. You build a simulated infrastructure, watch an attack move from one element to the next, and check whether the defense you put in place stops it. Everything is simulated: the tool attacks no real system.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us about the Lab.

Is PCYBOX Lab a development agency?

Not exactly. The Lab is an R&D and product development service. We can build custom software, but our approach starts with understanding the problem, exploring options and designing a fitting solution.

Do I need a complete specification?

No. An idea, a hypothesis or a description of the problem is enough. An initial scoping phase clarifies the goals and defines the engagement.

Do you only work on cybersecurity projects?

No. Cybersecurity and AppSec are among our areas of expertise, but the Lab also works on business platforms, internal tools, AI-powered solutions and APIs.

How much does an engagement cost?

The cost depends on the problem, scope, complexity and deliverables. We define it after a first conversation.

Who owns the product that is built?

On custom projects, source code and documentation are handed over to the client. Licensing and reuse of technical components are specified in each engagement's contract.

Do you work with clients outside Senegal?

Yes, the Lab is open to national and international collaborations, subject to applicable operational and contractual conditions.
